In the beginning of the class we discussed that why sketching fast is important. Then faculty asked us to take out any interesting object out of our bag and draw that object in 3 mins and then pass on the clockwise then another object in 3 mins and then the faculty start reducing time like 2 mins, 1.5 mins and we ended the 1st round in 1min, we have done this cycle for 5 different objects and faculty named it INSANE MODE.
After that second round started the process was same but the difference was time, we started 1 min each object’s sketch, it got reduced to 30 seconds then 20 seconds and we finished that round in 20 seconds, faculty named that round as LUDICROUS MODE.
The last round started, again the prices was same and time was different. We started with 20 secs and ended up in 5 seconds. Faculty called it BAD SHIT CRAZY MODE.
This exercise helped us to know that it’s not necessary for spending more time in just sketching an object or things…..we can be as fast as we want to, once we get a rough sketch we can give it actual shape and do the detailing in it. But the most important this is how much can we sketch in how much time. Personally this exercise helped me to know myself that I can sketch any object in just 5 secs and later give the detailing of it.
