According to the previous class’s assignment of collecting and categorising materials…..faculty started with this only. Faculty restated the meaning and concept of different categories. He also told us some new elements/materials and properties of them also.
Later we were asked to start designing two 4*4 inch square coasters in A4 size paper, and then got it approved by the faculty. we have to make actual coasters in MDF board. We then move ahead to the workshop, there faculty gave us two 4*4 inch MDF squares and asked us to draw the design of the coasters on the MDF blocks. Faculty asked us to only use hand chiseling, bench drilling, hand sanding and hand sawing for making our final coasters out of MDF blocks. we were not suppose to use any colours. As the class time was over further making of coasters were given as homework to us.
