As all the previous class was about illustrator and it’s tools, today our faculty started new software which was photoshop. Sir told photoshop will be easier than illustrator but at some point it is complicated but everything is beautiful in its own way.
Basically sir gave an introduction for the photoshop. First thing he told that minimum Dot per inch (DPI) should be 300 during printing or else it will get blurred or pixelated and 75 during digital work also we should always first do test print to see if it’s fine or not. After this sir introduced us with a tool name selection tool, it’s like basic shapes in adobe illustrator. Further he told about move tool and marquee tool. Marquee tool has two types circular and rectangular. Now after selecting an image if we want to come out of the selection then we have to use ctrl+D. Then ctrl+H is use to hide the selection and then ctrl +alt+D for making the selection visible. For opening the 1st layer we have to open a jpeg/GIF image.
sir then teach us about lasso selection, lasso includes freeform, polygon and magnetic selection. Freeform is same as marquee tool and it’s free hand. Magnetic have one thing to be taken care of that we have click once and draw the mouse around.
After this sir told us about magic wand tool which help in picking flat colours or reversing with colour or white area and then quick selection.
After selection tool we started masking. Masking has two types which is destructive and non destructive. Non destructive can be corrected. Masking includes clip mask, layer mask, channel mask, quick mask and vector mask.
