Today’s class was all about knowing/understanding words. There were 8 groups with 5 members each. Faculty gave 8 words and every group have to select one word. The 8 words were:-
- serendipity
- phenomenon
- obnoxious
- coherence
- incorrigible
- inscrutable
- trepidation
- armistice
The word my group choose was trepidation. The task was to find the meaning of the word and synonyms of it. Also the word can have more than one meaning. After that we have to found the meaning of synonyms and make a sentence using the word ‘trepidation’ and synonym which fit in that sentence. The synonyms can also have more than one meaning. After that the synonyms become the another word and then we need to find the synonyms for that word. At the end of the class we have to enact the word as a mime.
Trepidation is a feeling of fear or anxiety about something that may happen.
